The first official day of spring has arrived! Spring is my favorite season. From flowers blooming to warm weather to numerous animals being born, spring is always a “feel-good” season. As we get in the season’s vibe, let’s look at seven ideas to “spring up” your life.

#1. Spring out of your comfort zone-

Especially during COVID times, our social interactions has significantly decreased. It is essential for our health and lifestyle to talk to and network with others. Figure out ways to meet others and act! Whether it is taking a new neighbor a house-warming gift or someone needing help carrying their groceries to the vehicle, be friendly. You never know, that individual maybe a helpful resource down the road.

#2. Plant life and leadership seeds and watch them grow-

Each one of us has unique experiences that we can gain essential life and leadership lessons from. While we learn and grow personally from what we experience, we need to share this wisdom and knowledge with others. Sometimes, others don’t listen to advice; however, it is important to plant these life and leadership “seeds” to help others when similar times come. Experience, learn, gain knowledge, grow, and share.

#3: Bloom instead of gloom-

Nobody likes a “Debbie Downer.” If you want to be well received, be positive and bright. Yes, there will be times when you are going through some cloudy and rainy challenges. However, make the most out of every day and watch yourself blossom!

#4: Be a ray of sunshine for someone-

Along with the point above, our world is filled with dark, negative, and depressing things. The people you work with, see at the grocery store, or your friends might be having an awful day. It’s time to take the initiative, spread some sunshine, and help those that need some energy. Let your light shine!

#5: Just like the time, make sure to spring forward-

As we go into daylight savings time, make sure to push yourself forward as well. Whether it is trying something new or getting back on a workout habit, encourage yourself to step it up. As Tim Duncan once said, “Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Till your good is your better and your better is your best.”

#6: Spring clean with confidence-

This is the time all those old, worn clothes get thrown out and operation declutter usually happens. Going off the same lines, now is the perfect time to declutter your life. Drama, social media tension, and other noise that surrounds us daily needs to go. Establish strong filters and remove the nonsense in your life.

#7: Warm up those cold friendships-

Our world is full of technological avenues we can take to catch up with long lost friends. Writing letters, messaging, or a good ole phone call can make someone’s day and spark a connection you once had with someone. It is good to check up on people and talk with one another about the numerous things that occur over the span of life’s journey.

Enjoy the warmer, sunny days, go get pictures taken with the beautiful flowers, and spring up your life.
